Meet Our 2021 - 2022 Team
Fiona is a senior from Miami, Florida, who is pursuing a pre-med track through a Neuroscience and Sociology double major in MCAS. This is her fourth year on the team and her second year serving as captain. Her favorite thing about Fuego is the friendships she has made and the constant positivity and love she feels every time she walks into practice.
Emily is a senior from Chicago, Illinois who is currently majoring in History with a double minor in Management & Leadership and Fatih, Peace & Justice in MCAS. This is her fourth year on the team and first year serving as captain. Emily's favorite part of Fuego is the energy the team constantly brings to both the stage and campus overall.
Diego De Leon
Diego De Leon is a senior from The Bronx, New York who is currently studying Finance and Accounting for Finance in CSOM. This is his fourth year on the team and his first year on E-board, serving as treasurer. His favorite part of Fuego is walking to practice and feeling the love and energy that everyone brings.
Franciel is a senior from The Bronx, New York who is currently studying English in MCAS. This is his third year on the team and first year serving as captain. His favorite thing about Fuego is that everyone is able to laugh and enjoy themselves without feeling the need to hold back.
Jan Xu Soltero
Jan Carlos Xu Soltero is a senior from Bayamón, Puerto Rico who is currently studying Finance in CSOM. This is his third year on the team and first year serving as captain. His favorite memory about Fuego so far has been the Rookie Showcase where it was his first opportunity to experience what it was like to perform in front of an audience. As he explains it, "there is no comparison to that feeling you get; that rush and energy channeling through your whole body."
Carla is a senior who was born in Argentina and moved to Miami, Florida at the age of 10. She is pursuing a Communication major and Marketing minor inMCAS. This is her third year on the team. Her favorite Fuego memory was her initiation into the team, where she bonded with the whole team for the first time.
Carlos is a senior from Virginia Beach, Virginia who is studying Marketing in CSOM. This is his second year on the team. His favorite Fuego memory thus far has been Fuego Retreat, where the team comes together to celebrate a year of hard work.
Jean is a junior from San Juan, Puerto Rico. He is currently studying pursuing a pre-med track through a Neuroscience major in MCAS This is his third year on the team and first year serving as Captain. His favorite thing about Fuego is that he gets to dance frequently like he did in Puerto Rice and meet upperclassmen who can mentor him during his time at Boston College.
Isabella is a junior who was born in Miami, Florida but moved to Barranquilla, Colombia at the age of 13. She is currently completing a Political Science major and International Studies minor in MCAS. This is her third year on the team and first year on the E-board, serving as both event coordinator and co-social media director. Her favorite thing about Fuego is how they have become like a second family to her and she loves sharing the stage with them.
Ashley is a junior who was born and raised in Los Altos, California. She is currently a student in the Lynch School, majoring in Applied Psychology and Minoring in Cyberstrategy and Management & Leadership. Ashley will be studying abroad in Argentina this spring semester! This is her third year on the team and her favorite thing about Fuego is "all the hugs, all the love."
Christie is a junior from Marlborough, MA, who is currently studying Biology in the Morrissey College of Arts and Sciences on a pre-med track. This is her third year on the team. Her favorite thing about Fuego is being pushed out of her comfort zone alongside such talented dancers who she is lucky to call her family, and the confidence she has gained as a result.
Alexandra is a junior from Caracas, Venezuela, who was raised in Santo Domingo, Madrid, San Diego, and Washington DC. She is pursuing a Computer science major and Film minor in the MCAS. Alex will be abroad for the full year studying in Milan, Italy. This is her third year on the team and her favorite things about Fuego besides the dancing and performing, are lifelong relationships and friendships she has made with other members of the team.
Kenzie is a junior from Sudbury, Massachusetts studying Economics and Communications in MC. This is her second year on the team. She says her favorite part of Fuego is that "every practice begins with a round of hugs and joy. I love how excited everyone is to be there and see each other. It's truly like a family."
Matthew is a junior from Tinton Falls, New Jersey. He is currently pursuing a pre-med track through a Biology major and Global Public Health & the Common Good minor in MCAS. This is his second year on the team. His favorite part about Fuego is the energy and love that everyone has towards the team. He says, “this allows me to be pushed out of my comfort zone with their support.”
Mangie is a sophomore from San Juan, Puerto Rico who is currently completing a Communication and Psychology double major in MCAS. This is her second year on the team. Her favorite Fuego memory was our annual scavenger hunt and retreat. She states "Fuego's constant energy and love for each other is so contagious that I can positively say that despite the short time I have been on the team, my happiest moments on campus have been spent with them."
Ricardo is a sophomore from Guadalajara, Mexico. He is currently completing a pre-med track through a Neuroscience major and Art studio minor in MCAS. This is his second year on the team. His favorite Fuego memory is running through campus with the team. He states "I love that we can find a family on this team. Fuego has been the best part of my BC experience."
Eliana is a sophomore from Queens, New York who is completing a pre-law track through an International Studies Major in MCAS. This is her second year on the team and first year on E-board serving as co-social media direction. Eliana says, "I love the way Fuego has given me such a loving community, like a second family. As a freshman coming in, I was able to meet some of the most genuine people that have made BC feel like home."
